Party 84
Guests: 330

Last Friday we celebrated the seventh anniversary of my SM-Fetish Play Party on the Showboat in Zaandijk with a huge party.
Every year the anniversary party is very nice and busy, but this year’s party was a true record breaker.
Two weeks in advance all available tickets were already reserved and after that I had to give and take with waiting lists and cancellations.
In the end I hadn’t disappointed that many people, but we were getting very close and that made the whole situation quite exciting.
I had indicated early on that this party was going to be very crowded and people had to reserve their tickets well ahead of time, but unfortunately not everyone had understood that message.
Naturally, it would have been very easy to let some extra people join the party, but the Showboat has a limit on the number of visitors.
First of all this is because of everyone’s safety, but also because the number of available lockers is not infinite and there has to be enough room for playing people.
This is what my party is mainly about.
Furthermore, with too many people around the overall comfort of the guests would be compromised.
With all its comfort, service and luxury my party is unique in the BDSM and Fetish scenes and I would like to keep it that way.

However, an anniversary needs to be celebrated so the Showboat crew and yours truly put in a little extra effort in making this night something to remember.
We had two very special bondage shows, a champagne bar with a free glass of champagne for everyone, an extra tasty warm and cold buffet and a little parting gift for everyone.

First of all, Bob & Chantal from Ropemarks and Matthias Grimme from Bondage Project and Schlagzeilen performed the shows.
Bob & Chantal are very good friends of Rob and myself and that’s why they were responsible for the show – or better shows, because in the beginning I asked the artists to perform twice - at the very first party seven years ago.
Traditionally they perform each year at my anniversary party and since I enjoy their shows so much, it’s a habit I’m not planning to break.
These happy moments mean an awful lot to me and that’s why I love to have friends around to share them with.
On Friday I had many friends around me.
I met Matthias Grimme a few years ago and I keep running into him at Fetish parties abroad.
From the first time I saw one of his performances I was very impressed at his stage presence and his persona off stage as well.
His shows are very high paced making them thrilling, something that doesn’t always apply to bondage shows.
Additionally, his sadistic laugh and shining eyes when he’s busy appeal to me as a fellow sadist.
I recognise a large part of myself in him.

On the whole two amazingly beautiful shows which make me very proud to have them at my party.
I hereby would like to thank you.

This year we had a champagne bar again, because you can’t have an anniversary without bubbly.
That’s why all our guests received a free glass.
This year my smiling and voluptuous friend Madame Jeanette – not to be confused with the sharp yellow peppers from the Surinam cuisine - poured the champagne.
I don’t know many people who have the same flair and personality as Madame Jeanette and that’s why she was the perfect person for the Bubbly Bar.
Thanks sweetheart, you’re wonderful.
The Showboat’s kitchen staff did their utmost to make my anniversary party extra special.
Everything looked so good.
I got myself a plate of fried rice with sate and it was delicious.

You see?
That’s what I mean with comfort and luxury, because I don’t know any BDSM Fetish parties where the guests are treated so well without any extra costs.
I take my hat off for the Showboat staff.
You guys are unique and I’m grateful for every single one of you.
Maybe we don’t say enough what we mean to each other, so I’m taking the opportunity to tell you you’re all amazing!

Our regular team of DJs all showed up for this party and they made all our guests a cd with their music.
What made me feel good was the run on the cd’s at the DJ booth – after I mentioned them in my speech – a sign people are apparently happy with their played sets.
DJ Marcel-S, DJ Marco Verhoeven and DJ Mike M, you are in part also responsible for the success of my SM-Fetish Party and I am very grateful for all your hard work.
In the past we had many complaints about the music – sometimes even behind my back, which is not fun – but nowadays I hardly hear any complaints, so you guys are doing a wonderful job.
(Guys, you are the best! xxx)

As usual we had a clothing stand and who else could I ask for a special party like this but Leo & Alie from the Black Rose in the Dutch town of Zwolle.
Their outfits are just so incredibly beautiful and Leo & Alie are such wonderful people, so choosing them was a piece of cake for me.
Rob told me Leo & Alie don’t attend fairs anymore, so I might be able to persuade them to come to my party, because we always have room for their quality items.

Every month a group of volunteers helps me run the party; people who do their jobs unselfishly, loyally, inconspicuously, discreetly and without recognition.
Normally I always buy a present to give them on my anniversary party, but this year I wanted to organise something a little more personal.
That’s why I asked chef Raymond to prepare an elaborate dinner for us on the Showboat.
Raymond is able to make the most delicious things on location, including table-decorations, wine arrangements and so on.
It seemed like a good idea to wine and dine with the whole group and that’s exactly what is going to happen in the near future.

All there’s left for me to do is express my deepest gratitude for all the beautiful flowers, tasty bottles of whine and original gifts I received on Friday.
My appreciation also goes out to the wonderful Showboat team; the people working in the bar, kitchen and security and of course owner Arie Foekens.
Please enjoy the pictures.
I’m afraid this time around I might have used too many, but an anniversary is only once a year and I think it’s all right to use a little more bandwidth then.

Love,
Mistress Manita
